If there’s one thing I’ve learned this week, it’s that golf can be fun for all ages and all stages of life, even at 17 weeks pregnant.
From inspiring young golfers at LIV Golf JCB to finding pregnancy-friendly golf clothes, here’s how my week shaped up.
Thursday I headed to Gaudet Luce’s Pro Shop relaunch party. They’ve extended the space, and the big highlight for me was the brand-new range of women’s clothing brands they have added to the shop. They are super well known in the area for having one of, if not THE BEST, selection of women’s clothes for golf. It’s so refreshing to see a golf shop really cater to female players, and there’s a fantastic selection from:
Since I’m currently growing week by week, I thought I’d share my mini-review of these brands from a pregnancy perspective:
Under Armour – Amazing! Great sizing, super stretchy, and can be worn for more than just golf.
Famara – Awesome, especially their leggings. Leggings are every pregnant womans best friend.
Original Penguin – True to size, with options up to size 18.
Victoria Paulsen – Good stretch and generous sizing in jackets, cardigans, and jumpers. Cropped jumpers work really well with high-rise trousers or leggings.
Csara – Sadly, not the most pregnancy-friendly. Limited to around size 14, so sizing options are more restricted.
Moving on to Friday
James and I had the chance to volunteer again with Majesticks GC Little Sticks, this time at LIV Golf JCB, and it was such a rewarding experience.
If you’re not familiar with Little Sticks, it’s the junior golf outreach programme from Majesticks GC, designed to get kids involved in the game in a fun, welcoming, and pressure-free way. The focus is on giving children their first taste of golf so they can walk away feeling like they’ve achieved something and, hopefully, want to try again.
The set-up is brilliant: bright, colourful, and engaging, with safe, lightweight equipment and games that help kids develop basic golf skills without it feeling technical or intimidating. We saw so many smiles and possibly a few future champions in the making. For us, it’s the perfect example of how golf can be accessible, fun, and inclusive from the very start.
All in all, it’s been a week of sharing golf with the next generation, enjoying the calm of mid-pregnancy, and discovering some great clothing finds that make me feel comfortable both on and off the course.
