Winter Golf, New Roles, and Taking it Easy

It's officially that time of year where the days are getting shorter, and my schedule is starting to look a little different as we head into winter.

My time at Gaudet Coaching is entering a new phase. While the popular Swing into Golf program will be decreasing to 2-3 sessions a week, I'm excited to share that I'll be taking on a new responsibility: leading Stage 3 of the program! This means I'll be hosting two meet-ups a month, which is a fantastic opportunity to focus on the community and enjoyment side of the game. I can't wait to see the programme participants there!

This month, I had a fabulous round with Em and Amy, who made the journey down from up North to join me. We had such a great girly afternoon playing golf and a lot of laughs, and exactly the kind of fun I needed.

Speaking of social golf, we're officially back in action with our 'Fore the Fun' events!

We kicked things off with a fantastic mixed range night at Wharton Park Strike Shack on August 18th, it was a great way to swing back into the group meet-ups. And for those of you who love a girls' day out, keep October 5th clear! We're planning a fun Girls Day at Gaudet Luce. More details will be coming soon!

On the personal side, we had a very exciting milestone this month: our 20-week scan! We decided to keep the gender a surprise, which is going to make the arrival even more special.

However, a follow-up consultant appointment later in the month was a serious wake-up call. It turns out I've been putting far too much pressure on myself. The stress from my day job, combined with the back pain the pregnancy has been causing, led me to take a necessary week off sick leave at the end of August/beginning of September.

I'm learning the hard way that I need to slow down.

In fact, the pregnancy has officially stopped me from playing golf for the first time this month. While I squeezed in a lovely 9 holes with James on Sunday evening, I had to make the difficult decision to pull out of the Creator Cup I was invited to following Wednesday at London Air Links. I'm getting crazy tired these days, just a few hours after waking up, I'm already yawning away! My midwife has given me clear instructions to take it easy, and a long day of driving and golfing in the 25-degree heat just wasn't the best idea.

It’s all about prioritising the little one and my health right now!
